SGMI holds regular management and alumni symposia – gatherings of a special kind, both retrospective and preview. Personalities from economics, science and politics discuss current business topics. Workshops offer a chance for participants to explore the topics more deeply and stimulate their own thinking. No less important is the social aspect: contact with peers. |

In the autumn sun of Flims, Switzerland, the 3rd SGMI Symposium and Diploma Award Ceremony introduced an unusual topic. "Break down barriers." In the center of discussion were recent economic dislocations and long-term trends. The symposium adhered to the SGMI philosophy, the belief that a reliable picture of the present and the future can be captured only by looking from three perspectives: that of the motivations and interests of individuals, that of the interior and exterior views of businesses and their goals and that of society and economics. |

With a focus on dynamics and development and, above all, success, the Management- and Alumni Symposium from November 2 to 4 in Luzern was a welcome workshop and rich source of all things related to management. Already the title of the symposium, “In Search of Excellence - In Search of Maximum Performance,” created high expectations. Outstanding speakers, discussions and workshops inspired reflection. For new ideas and impulses in everyday management, there is nothing better. |

The SGMI symposium from September 29 to October 1 set the bar high for the future. This was the consensus. Convincing appearances, clear analyses, brilliant and controversial speeches and counter arguments – all made clear the challenges managers have to master today. |
